Passiflora Amethyst / Lavendar Lady Flowers are loosing colour, fading to white
Hi all
Please can you tell me how to get the purple colour back into my Passion Flowers.
It's a Passiflora Amethyst / Lavendar Lady. The flowers are loosing the purple colour and are fading to almost white. Is it the cold or as it's coming up to winter is it the fading sun.
Thanks

Hi
I have found new information about the fading purple colour in the flowers.
Look at this, last paragraph.

"P. 'Amethyst' is a great cross but a weakness is its tendency to lose colour especially at the beginning & end of season".
Thanks

Hello,
This is caused by the change in light and temps. The plants are
Going dorment and should also be showing other examples of this as well. Colour fade is one of the first signs, along with small or unformed ovaries, stigmas, or anthers. Most passiflora make these changes befor dormency and this should be seen as perfectly normal. Enjoy even these faded flowers as soon they will stop coming till next spring for you.
