P. 'Pixie'
Hello friends,
I just realized that I have not posted any of our hybrids here, so it is about time. I will go in reverse, starting with the latest one, just first blooming November 4th this year, less than one year from germination, as a dainty 3 foot tall plant. It has purple undersides to its 3 lobed leaves, and though it is not a large flower, it makes up for size with character. The filaments are a little mussed, but it was an unseasonably cold and extremely windy day, so I forgive it. I look forward to seeing it bloom next year.
The fun feature of alternating petal and sepal color is not obvious in the picture above with sun on it, so this next one is in full shade.
If this ends up being a performer and reasonably hardy, we will most likely release it for public sale through Brushwood next fall.
