These are both from seed given to me from a friend who collected them in the wild. Both were germinated this spring. The one on the left is from Belize, and the other is from Caroni Swamp.

Yes Caroni Swamp is on the west coast of Trinidad under the capital Port of Spain. Glad to see you got it to flower!

It survived winter as well, and we hybridized it with a few interesting relatives. The one from Jan Thiel also bloomed and was one of my favorites. It looked like a tiny P.edulis with wavy filaments, but it did not make it over winter unfortunately. I wish I could find some more seeds...
