I spotted this passiflora straggling along a fence top in the yard of an abandoned property and hoped someone can positively ID it. At first look, I thought 'Lavender Lady,' but I'm not so sure now. The pics are the best I could manage on the fly and pressed for time. If others are needed, I'll do what I can.

I would wager that it is one of the P. kermesina x P. caerulea hybrids just as you suspected. It's possible that it may have been back crossed with P. caerulea again, but I doubt it. Then again, you never know!

It appears to be Jeanette -- my mother plant here at the department just set its first blooms and they are identical to my eye.

thanks

So it is P. kerm x caer backcrossed with P. caerulea, as I suggested but doubted... it should certainly be hardy!
