Re: some of my passiflora
Congrats on the Panda cross! You will have to keep us posted.
I don't think I have ever caught 2 of our bees on one flower. The ones we have here seem to be very territorial... I have even seen them chase off hummingbirds!
Don't miss out on trying the GB fruit. Fairly tasty, just not much of it usually.

Re: some of my passiflora
Thanks about the panda cross its only eight inchs talls now but growing eveyday. Im not worried I have grown many passiflora from seed and am aware its going to be some time befor It get interesting. Im hoping to get gb fruit from fata confetto pollen soon or at least Im trying, along with a few others. As to the bees, I have a few blurry photos of three and four of them on a single flower. I also have videos of them sleeping on them during the afternoon heat. Im able to sit with my face less then 6 inces form them and watch them for quit a long time. Of all my passiflora I find the bees strictly prefer gb over all other I have in bloom. They hang out on them all day. As to the chasing I actually saw a fly chase one of the bees off today. which I was amazed at. The more im around passiflora and study them, the more I understand why other studiers of passi's also end up loving their pollinators.

Re: some of my passiflora
I still don't have Fata Confetto. I see a trade in our future... next year if you're up for it. Does it seem to have viable pollen? I would assume so, but you never know. P. incarnata seems to be the best pollinator for the GB for us, but it also will create good fruit with a plethora of other things. I even have a seedling of GB x gritensis! Whether it will even bloom is another question entirely...
Re: some of my passiflora
I have a nicely rooted cutting that made it through the storm. luckly I brought it from my greenhouse to my house befor it got bad (greenhouse was badly damaged). Id be glad to hook you up with it as I know you will put it to good use. I sell things on ebay weekly (when iI can) like you do sometimes and have all the stuff to send it whenever you say so. Passiflora gb was my girlfriends choice, I always thought of it as dainty. But having seen that it blooms more then most my passi's I quickly grew to enjoy it being around. And I was very happy to see a p. gb x incarnata as this would pretty much insure an even hardier plant with just as much bloom to it. And the slightly larger, darker purpleish flowers are amazing. Mine only flowered a few times and has taken a beating from the hurricane but is big enough not to really care. It should bloom again for me befor winter. And to the pollen, so far It seem to set thick pollen for the most part though not all anthers pollen seem to open by the time the flower starts to close. But seeing as its anthers are about twice the size of p. gbs and with a good amount of pollen on them, from the incarnata in it, i would say yes it should have a pretty good pollen. I have not seen a p. gb x fata confetto yet and dont know why, or ant cross with Fata c. though I havent really looked i figured a slight backcross would be neat.
