Re: Seed stores
I have already bought on e-buy, but would like to get some other varieties like Ariculata, Grackei, Gilbertiana, Jatunsachensis, Jorullensis, Penduliflora..and many more that I do not have
I have no seeds for exchange, unfortunately I have only cuttings, but they would not have survived in the package..

Re: Seed stores
hey,
I have Two p. Grackei so maybe I can give you seeds at the end of summer. Though I have never tried to get pure seeds form it. And I also have a penduliflora. But only one so no pure seeds. For seeds rare like that for sale, try passiflora international society. They havent updaded their seeds resently but im sure if you ask them for an update you could get lucky.

Re: Seed stores
Eric,
I argee with butterfly world, and brazilplants but as to www.sementes.de I have some questions for you. They list P. arborea seeds. Its my understanding that p. arborea has been mixed up in collections and around so that it is uncertin that these seeds would even turn out to be p. arborea being offered. What personal views or experiences do you have on this sites proper identification of passiflora seeds that might be able to futher promote or discurage the use of this site as a reliable sorces for seeds like p. arborea or other seeds offered? Thanks

Re: Seed stores
My advice it to never put 100% faith in any seed source. Even if you pollinate your own flowers with two clones of a species, there is still room for error with other vectors in the vicinity. Personally, I think unless you collect a seed sample from the wild in a grove of a specific species, you just don't know what you are going to get. Even from the reputable sources above, the only thing I think you can be fairly sure of is which plant held the fruit. From most other sources, I don't even count on that!
On the other hand, perhaps you will get a unique hybrid in a seed pack you purchase!
All in all, I think you have to take a risk assessment. How badly do you want the species? Is the price low enough that it is worth the risk, even if it means growing it for years and it ends up being wrong? If it ends up being a hybrid, are you going to be overly disappointed? All hard questions that you have to ask yourself buying seeds from ANYWHERE.
Sorry that was not the specific answer you were looking for... it's the best I've got for ya'.
Good luck!

Re: Seed stores
I read this thread with interest and it left me with two questions.
The Passiflora International Society sells seeds? 2nd question, the two websites listed by Eric are foreign(to US). How do you purchase from them and navigate their site? The brazil site is easier to navigate with it's english side but there is no shopping cart?
Very, very new to collecting passiflora and so want to grow my collection but having difficulty with some aspects.
TIA
Darren
